"You Talk, We Die" documents the grassroots campaign that really made a difference in Melbourne. This panel will discuss ways that we as a community could help to save lives in Geelong.

Judy Ryan's book "You Talk, We Die" is the story of the story of a grassroots community campaign for a supervised medical centre to care for people living with drug addiction in Richmond and Abbotsford.

Regional and rural areas continue to record higher drug overdose deaths per capita than Melbourne: 6.6 deaths per 100,000 people compared with 6.2 deaths in the city (Penington Institute August 2023).

This panel discussion will focus on the issue of drug addiction and how we can better support marginalised communities, including those that inject drugs, featuring
