Fear, shock and worry are normal responses to a cancer diagnosis, but what everyone wants to know is what will happen in the short and long term.
This facilitated forum will consist of a panel of three speakers: Sue Bowles, a breast cancer nurse based at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre who has supported many men and women through their journey post diagnosis; Jules Haddock, a mental health specialist who understands how to manage invisible blocks and walls often confronted, and the City of Greater Geelong Mayor Peter Murrihy, a prostate cancer survivor who will talk about his personal journey from diagnosis to remission.
A Q&A session facilitated by Geelong barrister Allana Goldsworthy will follow the presentations.
Join us at this forum to hear from people with experience, either as a specialist worker or cancer patient, of what happens beyond the diagnosis. This forum is for people with a cancer diagnosis and their family and friends, as well as frontline and support workers in the broader health sector.
