Join us to hear Virginia Trioli in conversation with fellow ABC Melbourne Radio alumni, Jacinta Parsons.
Virginia Trioli knows that enduring joy is often found not in the big moments but in the small. And as a dedicated, almost obsessive, foodie, she believes that food gives us the perfect metaphor for how to seek, recognise and devour the real flavour of life.
A Bit on the Side is an ode to joy, filled with wisdom, stories, memories and recipes, all told with Virginia's renowned insight and wicked sense of humour. This is a book to be read, treasured and shared, for anyone who wants life served with a side of delight.
Virginia Trioli is a journalist, broadcaster and author. She is a two-time Walkley Award-winner and lives in Melbourne with her husband and son.
Virginia will be in conversation with Jacinta Parsons. Jacinta is a Naarm broadcaster, writer and Phd candidate in Media and Communications at RMIT. She is a board member of disability theatre company Rollercoaster and an ambassador for Crohn's and Colitis Australia. She has written two books, Unseen and a Question of Age, and has a third, A Wisdom of Age, due for release in 2025.
