Come along as a participant or to enjoy the performance
Come along and enjoy dynamic performance poetry in Geelong!
Poetry Slam programs create deeper inter-cultural understanding and social cohesion through learning and performance.
Hosted by Huda the Goddess (current Australian Poetry Slam Champion), participants have two minutes to perform original work; to speak, howl, dance, whisper and dream out-loud. The two highest-scoring poets will represent Geelong in the Victorian State Final, with the winners from that competing in the National Final in Sydney. There is also $100 in prize money for the overall winner.
Please note, poet registration is from 6.00pm onwards, and the event will run from 6:30-8:30pm. Registration is only available on-site prior to the event.

These two Australian Poetry Slam events are free of charge and are booked separately. You can attend either one or both and there is no requirement to participate at the heat.
